Welcome back to The High Life.
In this edition, we're going to introduce one of the player classes in Highstreet World ahead of our VR MMO's first combat demo. Our latest Lore Fragment takes you to the open seas of Solera. And, as always, there's a new comic page for your perusal.
Keep reading to check it all out.
As the Highstreet team continues to make progress toward releasing Highstreet World, we're excited to share the latest update with you. We've been hard at work creating a VR combat demo that will be showcased at an in-person event next month. It will showcase the combat mechanics of the Fighter class that will be part of Highstreet World.
Intrepid participants will be dropped into The Gardens of Highstreet City, where Soleran flora has overtaken the district under the influence of green Lunarite. This jungle swallowed The Greenhouse, where long-lost robots have sought refuge away from Duck and human society. The Greenhouse has been declared as a new arena, where human gladiators are dispatched to engage in combat with the bots. Some call it a contest. But the waves of bots are unending.
Arena fighters who take part in the live demo will be armed with a sword and shield as they face off with waves of enemies. Each batch of bots is harder to defeat than the last. Only true champions will make it out alive!
The seas of Solera can be unpredictable, and monsters lurk within. One of the fabled sea beasts is the Quacken. Nobody knows how old this leviathan is, and nobody has ever seen it in full—no one who lived to tell the tale, anyway.
The only recorded sighting of the Quacken took place 305 years before humans made contact with FOMO Duck society. Capp'n Featherbird, who led a crew of Ducks venturing forth to discover new lands (and maybe even treasure) across the ocean, saw the large sea creature from a distance. They couldn't tell exactly how big it was, but they knew it was larger than anything they had ever seen before.
Tales of the Quacken spread quickly, seeding a general fear of the open ocean—and limiting their maritime exploration. Was the Quacken merely a mistaken sighting of something harmless, or is there truly a gargantuan sea creature lurking beneath the water surface?
Thank you!
That's all for this edition.
Don't forget that HIGH token holders also have staking opportunities with Gudchain. Now's the time to stack those gud seeds. The earlier you start taking part, the more rewards you'll earn. Plus, keep an eye out for announcements about how FOMO Duck holders will benefit from Gudchain. Something's brewing…
